1960s Vintage Clothing
For many vintage enthusiasts the 60s are the best moment in time where fashion and new opportunites met head on to create a wonderful explosion of freedom and forward thinking - this was represented in the wacky and wonderful designs of that period.
The most famous desisgner of the 60s was Mary Quant who many believe was the creator of the mini dress.
You can buy many of Quant's clothing on eBay including makeup, coats, capes, dresses, hotpants and playsuits. Scooter dresses and Gogo boots were all the rage and Quant perfectly harnassed a daring clothing line while at the same time keeping her unique and plain style a main feature of her designs.
Bold and block colours were the order of the day for 60s fashion and with PVC bags and coats exploding on to the high street there are still many of these items to buy in the UK at very low prices.
Other notable fashion designers and boutiques of the 1960s were Louis Ferard, Granny Takes a Trip, Foale and Tuffin, Jean Varon and Biba.
